Feeling inSUREd: A Health Literacy Program

HSC6318: Planning Health Education Programs

After meeting with a stakeholder from the Student Health Care Center (SHCC), Tyler James, Amber Dellich and I began to develop a program to address UF student's health insurance literacy. Their self-efficccy was found to be low and many students do not utilize the Student Health Care Center despite its convenient and accessible location on the campus. Following a social and epidemiological diagnosis and literature review, a 5 component program was developed, along with a Gantt chart for the timeline and a complete program budget.
